“After many years of experience in electronics and software development, we wanted to create a company where technology would serve people and their ideas,” says Managing Director Andreas Schneiter, who founded the company in 2002 together with partners Ivan Wagner and Alan Del Bello, originally under the name Tecpoint SA. Today, the company operates as TecInvent Electronics SA, with its headquarters in Riazzino.

The electronics engineer has always been fascinated by the vast possibilities offered by applied electronics and by the opportunity to improve people’s everyday quality of life. Over the years, he has gained extensive experience in various technical and managerial roles within several Swiss companies, thereby building strong expertise in hardware and software development.

TecInvent operates in custom hardware and software development, electronic prototyping, and technical consulting.

The company develops embedded software solutions, industrial applications, IoT systems, as well as test and measurement systems: microcontroller firmware, communication interfaces, machine control systems, remote monitoring software, specialized configuration tools, and security-critical software.

The development process focuses not only on programming itself, but also on testability and quality, to ensure long product lifecycles, reduce maintenance costs, and maximize flexibility throughout the entire lifecycle.

Combining the New with the Existing

As a technology specialist, TecInvent designs and delivers custom hardware, from embedded modules to complete power electronics systems.

“We cover the entire process: from the initial idea, circuit design and PCB layout to prototype development, product commissioning, certifications, and production preparation,” emphasizes Schneiter, adding: “Our goal is to create integrated platforms in which hardware and software operate in perfect synergy. Every project, whether a single component or a complete product, is considered in its full complexity and throughout its entire lifecycle.”

TecInvent collaborates with Swiss and international companies in the fields of industry, research, and technology, with industrial partners such as ABB and Schindler, as well as academic institutions like the University of Applied Sciences Southern Switzerland (SUPSI).

Quality is a fundamental part of the company’s identity.

“Every product undergoes comprehensive functional, electrical, and environmental testing and is developed in compliance with international standards such as CE, RoHS, and EMC,” says Schneiter. “In addition, we work closely with accredited certified laboratories and ensure, through complete technical documentation at every stage of development, that all requirements are reliably fulfilled.”
For management and the entire team, quality also means reliability, precision, and respect for people: “True quality is created when technical precision, creativity, and responsibility come together — in thinking, in actions, and in every decision.”
